Providing Certainty in Uncertain Times: A New, Digital “Austria House” for the Summer Olympics
Although the Tokyo Summer Olympics has been delayed for a year, it’s finally getting underway on July 23. But this year’s event promises to be everything but ordinary. In the wake of the pandemic, athletes will be competing without fans in attendance, and the famous Olympic Hospitality Houses will be closed.
Organised around the categories Sports, Economy and Tourism, the Digital House – based on the SCOOP 360° Events platform – brings together representatives from each of these categories, letting them share unique content, network with each other, and interact with an international fan base. Along with getting a glimpse of Austria’s team, users visiting the house can catch highlights and watch live streams of the games. With our SCOOP Search and SCOOP Recommendations intelligent modules, the platform provides users with contextually relevant information and suggests content that they may find interesting. We used our technology to also integrate all of the Austrian Olympic Committees’ partners into the Digital House, including the Austrian National Tourism Office, the Austrian Mint, Austrian Lotteries and the Austrian Chamber of Commerce.
We’ve created a sustainable digital solution that can also be used for the Winter Olympics in Beijing next year and set new standards for event digitalization.
